| The time limit is a good idea, Sin. In situations like Morgan's it is a good thing to set some parameters, so that the rescuers know what they are getting into. Well done!
SubBear, I like your idea of the capture. That's a good story line, to bring the big guy back into the spot light. Once you lay a bit more of the ground work, it'll be a nice strand to add to our web. I think I can even seen some other connections forming.

| Had that weird posting error and unfortunately I had to kill a post that dealt with Totem. Didn't save it. It's too bad, it was a good one. | |

| Damn, that is too bad. Sometimes I wonder if some kiddies get to playing around. Seems when school starts back up, there is a flurry of pute problems. Pute geek frat and sort sorts trying to impress eachother. | |

| Seems I had some glitch in a graphic code. Wouldn't post. I sabotaged myself. Oh, well. Nighty night.... Pity about my Totem post, it's not as good as the original that got deleted but oh well. | |

| The Totem post seemed fine to me ^_^ I was thinking... since the clairvoyants around us have narrowed the type of building down a little bit, could the heroes save some time by driving around various warehouses with the help of someone who see through walls? The new people have no idea what Shawn can do, but Yelena and Tim do... Thoughts? | |

| Yeah, that should work just fine. We should just spread the investigation out and see who gets lucky. I am thinking that Totem sniffing around like a bear will only have about 25% chance to find anything. | |

| I think that is a great idea Kasai it will allow Shawn to show what he can do and build esteem with the others in Chicago. Perhaps it could be him who actually finds her. | |

| Man, Tiph, that's just mean. Having RAID waiting on Tim and the gang while Morgan is fighting to stay alive. LOL | |

| So who thought rescuing Morgan would be easy? Undisclosed time just means that the RAID event is coordinated with whatever will happen in the part of the story concerning Morgan's rescue attempt. Basically the heroes are headed into a meat grinder and it's a time sensitive situation, so in order to save Morgan, the characters have little choice but to enter the battle ground and it would be incredibly out of the ordinary for Frank to spontaneously change locations (in my opinion). The odds are not overwhelming, but every character will probably be 2 to 1, and there are not a lot of the heavy RAID mech-suits. Those guys are incredibly tough! All writers can just role play with RAID but realistically they are not going to strike until the heroes are in position. I am thinking that without a doubt, Shawn will spot RAID enforcers, but those psy-scramblers will probably effect his ability, although not to the degree that they would hinder a telepath or clairvoyant. | |

| i am thinking too that even Totem's nose would be useless since the RAID enforcers don't smell out of the ordinary. For all he knows there could be a lot of homeless people around. | |

| LOL Cool. What about Mikala? Even though they have psy scramblers up, will she be able to tell that something is out of the ordinary because of those? I don't know too much about psy scramblers. | |

| They just hide the presence of the RAID enforcers, it's like they are not there.
SubBear, since Sigma is trying to track down McMannus do you want me to make up a location that he is going to? I was thinking I would just follow your lead and have Sigma find something, once your post lets me know. The only thing is, that realistically Sigma is not going to spend hours in the RAID network trying to find the info, probably more like fifteen minutes.

| yeah I imagine that they would have such devices but they are large and bulky so they have to used to mask a predetermined location. | |

| So I am not going to run any RAID stuff, I should just expect that everyone treats them with the same respect that people would extend to any government operation similar to the C.I.A. or even Navy Seals.
I believe that many of the RAID enforcers were former, military or highly trained officers. Some were once FBI, but would have been the cream of the crop. Obviously some are going to better than others, but I believe they should always be treated as highly trained individuals who can take a part any 'average' human.
RAID is not going to make rookie mistakes in their operation. Stuff like a guy sitting around waving his lighter around while lighting a cigarette, or flashing headlights in an alley just isn't going to happen. A highly trained individual is only going to be betrayed by those things that they cannot account for.
I don't set traps that are fool proof, but I personally expect people to role play RAID realistically and not like bumbling fools. It's just more fun that way, if we write RAID making foolish mistakes then we might as well be fighting a bunch of gardeners armed with spades, don't ya think?

| Cool.
I had originally introduced the psy-scramblers in chapter 1, when the heroes were infiltrating the hospital. They are devices to help protect agents from those gifted with telepathic type powers. The all seeing clairvoyants would naturally be a huge security concern so realistically most governments would develop and employ the use of devices to protect themselves from these abilities.
As an equalizer, I made the devices cumbersome and they have to remain stationary to work. They neutralize telepathic brain waves and make a specified area 'invisible' to those that can project their 'mind's eye'. I believe, though, that if there was an act of violence or some very strong emotions emanating from the protected area that an empath might get reading. RAID agents on a stake out would obviously be too disciplined for this occur, and even then the psychic would have to very close to the area to countermand the scrambling effects. (So close I fear they would be in the lion's den before they suspected anything).
Clairvoyance is great ability, but in order to have balance in the world, the bad guys (or good guys) need to have a way to deal with the power. We have to consider that villains may also have the power of clairvoyance and for our heroes to protect themselves from their prying eyes they are going to need some way to shield themselves as well. I imagine the Green Street Base may have some form of psy-scrambler to countermand clairvoyance otherwise they could be exposed quite quickly by a meta-operative with the ability employed or forced into service by RAID.
