| No problem I was confused, and still am, though as to how Totem and Morgan got out of the Hummer after Tim set he in the back seat next to Shawn and Yelena with Totem behind the wheel and the Hummer left screaming down Green Steet on auto steer, with Abby (the on board computer) getting them out of there. | |

Well, it appears Totem is now dead, but Yelena,m Shawn and Morgan ARE in the hummer with it on auto pilot and heading for cover...somewhere. I can possibly post somethig that may bring the whole hummer and who is in it full circle. Want me to try?

| I just think it important for the recue of Morgan to be successful. I realize there are going to be casualties in any operation, however I don't want us to get caught in a rut. Keep in mind we have John to rescue and the little android to get involved. R.A.I.D is hunting for Tim which I am sure Tim has become an obbsession for Birkshire now. Tim has foiled him twice. | One more note - we need to pay closer attetnion to the time stamps on the posts.
Sin's post for Morgan was 9:32 PM then Dann's post for Tim was 7:15 PM.
Which is it?
This can cause a lot of confusion as well.
We either use the time stamps properly or we abandone them totally.
We can't have multiple time stamps in the same location handling the same action scene. It's physically impossible, folks.
OK, I'm done for now. Just let me know what you need me to do and I'll do it.
Thanks. | |

Thoughts I totally agree. We can't get stuck in a rut. Now that Frank's gone, Morgan can now move on with her life, if she so chooses. Tim will need to shake his tail and the other Meta's will need to find a place to get so they can find their way back tot he Green Street safe house. I'm not going to let what ever sticky device that is ont he hummer stay there for long. With the security system the hummer has, it will alert Yelena. We can't have the safe houses infiltrated over and over like they have been in the past. It's not believable story telling and we agreed the safe houses were off limits to opposing forces just like where ever RAID calls HQ, it's off limits to the Meta's. Each group has to have a place to regroup, lick their wounds, heal and come up with plan B. Even Batman has the Bat Cave that no one finds. It's only fair we give the characters a place to feel safe like all of these sort of story lines.

But Sin's post for Morgan is still showing 9:32 PM so we're still off. Somethng needs to be done to bring everyone to the same time frame here.

| There, Totem is where ever it is deemed that he will be...
I adjusted the time... (I figure that Sigma could have been hacking away for a few hours as I want to try and keep everyone on the same time line since we finally got that aligned) We took a jump when the search for Morgan began.... realistically it would have taken a few hours for the search so everything should be straightened out time wise now.

| Thanks, Tiph & Dann. If I came off as sounding like a total biotch, I apologize to everyone. It just gets frustrating at times and I have a tendency to omit diplomacy. | |

| Really? You were concise and straight forward. Perfectly normal for me. Yeah, I am like working around the clock right now, and I rushed my Totem post... hehe... 'Totem-post', that sounds funny. I really didn't want to kill him just trying to true to the story, but like I said I was foggy with the events that transpired. It's mainly because Totem wasn't specifically mentioned but who wants to have mention everyone's name over and over again? I think I am just going to keep my arse out of skirmishes. I always get confused in them. When I used to play D&D, we made some pretty complex maps to detail battles so that everyone was on the same page. We don't have that luxury here... (well we could, I can do anything graphically speaking)... so I usually get confused. Kasai saved me when she mentioned a land mark in one of her posts, she mentioned that she was using shards of metal from the busted door so that gave me a reference point. I just saw that and like a blind man went for it. | |

| LOL
I try to stay out of skirmishes as well. It can be very taxing as well as confusing (as we all see) but when I have no other choice, I will dive intot he thick of it and try to make as clear a post as I can so everyone knows my intentions and/or intended actions.

| Water under the BRIDGE... (I am so punny!)
I am going to work on a way to conduct battles then present it for debate. Perhaps there is way that we can all agree on that would allow us to avoid any confusion. I am thinking 'baby steps' off the top of my head.

| I agree with both of you.
It's always best to discuss things and come up with a system we can all agree on and in turn, I think we'll find we'll write better posts because of it.

| I made an attempt to post for the RAID guys right up to the decision of whomever was going to leave in the hummer, and who was gonna stay and do some fighting. It seemed clear to me that some players (most) did not want to turn and leave having just arrived to see some action. My intention was to have things move to that point. Morgan could have been in the vehicle or not, is was not the focus of my posts to have something that was against the vibe of the unfolding scene happen to her to change the whole outcome. If she's in the car, fine the RAID guys have not grabbed her up or anything, if not they are still recovering from the various explosions, trying to their jobs and have a go at the heroes. The RAID men are in motion, they have only begun to react to the heroes attacks.
It also seemed of some importance to me to not have the RAID men be keystone cops and brushed aside with ease, these are allegedly well trained ex military men with a whole bag of tricks to draw from. It seems to me that they would not just lay down and die. I was unaware that these goons would have the energy weapons and would remedy that in the future. I also never stated that the small device was ever a tracking device, it could have been anything, perhaps an explosive charge that would have detonated, attempting to slow down the seemingly invincible/invulnerable hummer.
It really was a simple matter of trying to post for the opposition after a ton of action has occurred and making an effort to bring a large amount of stuff up to speed. I was not terribly interested in just having the explosions go off, all RAID men go down and everyone leaves. I thought there would be more to it, we are super heroes, we fight and brawl with the authorities, if we are simply a well armed paramilitary group then we need not have cool powers, we can just employ tech, vehicles and weapons to do our fighting.
It seems I upset some folks, I am sorry. I try to post in the spirit I what I believe this thread to be, a bunch of fugitive metas with their backs against the wall in a hostile world not a group of super powered characters with an unlimited supply bombs, tank like vehicles and powers that the opposition could not possibly stand against. Everybody want to be hammer never a nail...

| I think you may have misunderstood my point, Bear. I think your did a great job of protraying R.A.I.D. and thier response. I am glad you stepped up to protray them. It was the overlooking of a few fine points that confused me. None of us are trying to be invinceable. It was just that the story line was set that the Hummer was out of the warehouse with Yelena, Morgan ( who was gravely incopacitated), Totem and Shawn in it, heading for saftety, to get Morgan medical attention.
Your doing a great job and we, I think I can speak for all of us are glad you have joined us. Keep up the good work.

| Dann summed it up perfectly, Bear. You did an excellent job with your post and I enjoyed reading every line of it. You are an excellent copntibutor to the story, always have been. We all just need to be a little more vigilant and read the posts better to make sure nothing gets over looked. Including myself.
I apologize for assuming the sticky thing on the hummer was a tracking device. That was my bad. I should never assume anything like that (you know what they say about assuming...). The hummer, believe it or not, has sustained damage and I will show that damage when I post later on.
But things have been ironed out and we can move along with the story line.

| Wow... I missed a lot... but I still want to clarify my understanding mainly because it seems a lot of you are very visual people. I am very verbal/auditory, so battles don't confuse me so long as it is written in a way that can be followed with little "anchors" so to speak. Words like "meanwhile," or "while she did that..." help to keep the time line in perspective I think and little interactions between attacks (like when Kekoa attacked another soldier close enough to Ayana that his water splashed her) help keep positions. My understanding of the situation was this: The hummer busted through and my characters got out. Tim put Morgan in the car and told her to git. Shawn could very easily jump back into the car seeing that this was not a good situation for him and since he was right near the door. Totem was driving and Yelena was still in the car. Kekoa and Ayana however had not only gotten out but prepared to fight so my understanding was that everyone but Tim, Ayana, and Kekoa were out of the car and Yelena sped off to take care of the barely alive Morgan. It was when the hummer sped off I think that some things got confused because in my post, people got out and in the next one, it left, so I tried to run with it and take the opportunity to write an epic battle Wraith is floating above the warehouse but can't really see what's going on inside. Honestly, Ayana and Kekoa are very very outnumbered and Kekoa ran after Tim so if you wanted to put wraith in, Tiph, you could and it would probably help... but you don't have to if you don't want to. Ayana and Kekoa have worked side by side a fair bit and so have a good understanding of one another's fighting style. So, when they saw Tim go down into the sewer and the RAID people go after them, it was kind of unspoken between them that Kekoa should be the one to help him since he is a water manipulator. In my post, they basically fought their way through the RAID army and Kekoa hung around to help Ayana as much as possible until he felt a) she could handle herself relatively well and b) it was starting to get hairy for Tim and he wanted to go help. The post ended with Ayana still fighting off the remaining RAID agents and Kekoa discovering that he is injured but finding Tim surrounded by the RAID agents. Let me know if anything in there was wrong... I hope that cleared things up a little though | |

| I think that about sums it up, at least to my understanding so far. But I could be wacky too. ( No comment from you RP, thank you very much) And yes we are rather visual in our writiung, at least I am.
