Hmmm, Shonen reminds a little, well actually a lot of Astro Boy. I don't see why he wouldn't fit in Heroes, since he is definitely comic booky, it's just that most of the Main Characters thus far have been middle of the road with their super powers and stronger ones are usually Minor Characters.

I would say such a strong character should have some weaknesses, just to make them well rounded. Of course, it's also all in how you write them too. Personally I tend to down-play my characters abilities most of the time, so that they can rise the occasion when necessary, yet have a vulnerable side in some aspect.

Just my opinion though, seems pretty interesting too me. RMP or Kasai are the ones who have the final say.

Shonen has many weaknesses, he trusts too much and lacks an ability to always think for himself. In effect, he was designed as a tool not as a being of individual thought and varied purpose. Shonen would have difficulty understanding the concepts of villains and enemies. Machine is also a pacifist, he does not understand violence and would not naturally gravitate toward it-except to follow his directives.

Shonen is very heavy, he is fast but not graceful and would not recover well from a fall from heights above 20 or 30 feet, he's no ninja, he's a clunky prototype. He also has a childlike mind and is easily distracted.

He has no weapons, just two boxy feet and two tool augmented hands.

Lac, my last post with Allie I left kind of open where taking something of Morgan's, i.e. the journal, to Mikala. I didn't know what you would want Tim to do, so I left it.

Sounds good I will work on Tim's post and try and get ot posted this evening. Will also see if we can work a way to get the Bears character introduced. If anyone has any ideas throw 'em out thar.

Ummm, here's a couple of ideas.

Second Chance Gym: Walking by after school hours, he could hear the children inside and enter, his curiosity getting the better of him. If you decide to have Tim take Allie up on her offer, then this could happen when they are there visiting Mikala.

He could be walking by the abadoned printing factory where Morgan is being kept and hear sounds from inside and investigate.

Rescue a child at the park that runs into the street in front of one of the Green Street metas, causing him/her to check him out.

Just a few ideas, take them or leave them.

I'm going to wait a little longer to post for Morgan and Frank. Maybe tomorrow or Friday. If it works, I may split the post up into two sections for time reasons and I don't know what others are going to post, so I don't want to do too much at one time. Do the first half of the post I've written down tonight or tomorrow, then wait and see what others post before either changing or posting the second half.

See, I'm finally getting the jist of it. Big posts, write down first.

When is Morgan to check in with Yelena? The 22nd or 23rd at noon? if it's the 22nd, then she's waaaaaaaaaaay overdue and that will cause Yelena to grow worried. If it isn't until the 23rd, then we've got another 24 hours at least that we can easily fast forward when the time is right.

Double checked my post on when Morgan was supposed to check in, and I wrote noon on the 23rd, but I wish I could change it as that, in my opinion, is too long. That is why I had Allie mention taking something of Morgan's to Mikala, the seer and empath, to see if she could get a reading. Which, she would and it wouldn't be good.
I meant to change the previous post to Morgan checking in the night of the 22nd around 5 or 6 p.m. but didn't get a chance to before it was locked.

Not a problem. We'll play it off with the 5-6 time frame on the 22nd.

I'll write a post that should help move things along.

A Nemises already exists for Shonen... The Cursed Knight, he's a machine as well. Right now everyone still believes he's a guy in a costume, when the Heroes finally encounter him at some point they'll need Shonen to even the odds.

Hey SubBear, I was wondering if McMannus was your guy.

We actually brought him in as sub-character in Chapter 2 'Divided We Fall'. He makes his appearance on page 8 and then again on 12, where I took a crack at depicting him. Hopefully we did him justice, but you can (if you haven't already) look over what we wrote and maybe use it as stepping stone. You'll find that he has some history with the FBI agents, Henkel and Jameson.

SubBear, I am really intrigued by the McMannus character, is this another suitable depiction of what he may look like?



It's Mickey Rourke's character from Sin City, he lacks the mechanical parts of course, but would McMannus look kind of like this?

McManus would be pleased to be compared to Marv (an old favorite of mine). He and Marv have a similar outlook on life and similar fighting styles, which is to say no style at all-ha.

RPM, Tip and Lac I just threw out the bit about John's capture, it would seem to explain his absence. Could be a fun bit of a sideline, if everyone's cool wit it.

I put a time limit thing on finding Morgan because I thought it would make it more.........climatic.........I think that's the word I'm looking for. Can change it if you all don't like it.
