| Cool, Lac. Nice work pulling Henkel and Nicolai together.
I'll work on a post as soon as I can. I am going to develop something with Henkel and the 'meta-hunter from the REG-MET Division, Lance Garret. Aside from Henkel's own personal interested in catching Rutherford, he's still trying to capture Apex Fusion and all the other heroes that are on his radar.
It's time to cook up some 'evil scheme' for Apex. Something that will threaten all of Chicago. An event that just might require the collective efforts of RAID, the FBI and the Meta-human Resistance to stop.

| Whew! There! I have the outline done. Now I just have to write it, after a little more research for realism, of course.
After this post, Grey Pyre will be tied in, and possibly even Nicolai. It may also generate an event that will require the united powers of the Resistance. The Texas events will of course remain a separate plot line, but this may even effect Yelena.

| Oh? A new beau? That is good to hear. He better be treating you right... I'm a remote viewer you know. I can kill goats in China with a single thought! So anyone with a goat better watch out! Seriously though, that's great, but a months time is hardly enough to get your lives fully in synch so I'll make sure to give you a wide berth and a lotta wiggle room between posts. | |

| Let me know Kasai if my last post is enough to go on. I was just trying to establish the presence of RAID and keep the 'writing field' open. Looks like, we might have a Hero vs. Super Villain situation, that is if RAID doesn't get in the middle of things which is also a good possibility. | |

| Now its getting interesting! Hope your computer doesn't pooch out Kasai. So as written there are sixteen agents. Eight teams, and Garret is with one of them and Zion III is a big place so, Grey has lots of wiggle room. The enforcers all where bullet proof gear, but some are more heavily armoured than others. The black uniformed agents, would most likely still be susceptible to a high powered rifle, but whether they would die from the shot could go either way depending on the circumstances and location of the hit. The heavily armoured guys are like walking juggernauts. As you have been depicting the presence of security guards there would also be a skeleton crew of engineers and technicians working the plant as well in some areas. I have tried to be perfectly clear that Garret's power nullifies all mutant powers at close range (approximately ten meters), but he can also focus his ability on a target and increase that range, but then his natural radius is eliminated. Its one or the other. He negates all abilities except enhanced physical traits which are part of a meta's physiology. Heightened strength, for example can be purely due to increased muscularity, or they could have 'super strength', which I explain as an ability to manipulate gravitons to physically move items. Garret's ability would negate the latter, just like he will shut off Grey's 'glitch' power and Scavenger's ability to turn into a raven, but not is ability to see in the dark. Make sense? | |

| Oh yes things are getting quite interesting ^_^ But I didn't honestly expect Grey's little plan to work that smoothly Grey did, however, so that's fun. Yeah, Garrett's power seems pretty clear. Grey's abilities though are increased speed and dexterity, a naturally calm demeanor and resistance to getting scared or worked up, and enhanced sight and hearing. All of these are physical. I'm not sure about his Mr. Nobody power though as it could be thought of an involuntary telepathic thing or it could be just some kind of... field for lack of a better word... that radiates from his body and inhibits visual memory storage. Honestly, I kind of like that better for purely selfish reasons: When I decided to put Grey in, I realized he would be a perfect kind of rival to Shawn as Grey relies on this effect he has on people's memories to walk around without being recognized. This ability, however, is obviously lost on Shawn who recognizes people by scent and feeling. That was long-winded... this will be fun So, just to clarify... right now, there are a crap ton of RAID guys piling into the exact place where Grey needs to go, right? | |

| Right now there's only a team of sixteen enforcers plus, FBI agent Jameson, RAID agent Garret and now Henkel is on his way.
It's a big place and they really don't know what Grey and Scavenger may be targeting so they are basically covering those areas which are most sensitive to tampering. They are in teams of two, but perhaps they may also unite into fours as their paths cross. You know how it goes. I'll really leave that up to you, what ever seems believable.
I prefer the difficulty being set by the writer, of course we always have to respect the power of RAID as they are, technically right now, holding most of the cards. Each RAID agent is highly trained and equipped with enough gadgetry to make the a formidable opponent against most meta's. As you know we can't treat RAID agents so much like canon fodder as we do, standard cops and security guards... but they're not indestructible either. In physical confrontation with the one of the RAID agents wearing standard armour, Grey would probably kick his ass, however, the ones with the enhanced robotic suits are very strong and mobile. These guys are the equalizers when it comes to melee, but the suits are expensive and thus not everyone has one.
I personally write RAID agents as the most proficient soldiers that my characters come up against and in accordance make them very resilient and intelligent. Since they specialize in taking down meta's, they carry all sorts of devices to countermand various common abilities. In the end when a 'hero' comes up on top, it should have been a struggle to take down a RAID officer. It makes sense to write warily when dealing with RAID, but it's just no fun what-so-ever, when a writer has no options against them. Yeah they're tough, but they don't rule the story.
In regards to Grey's autonomic memory negation in regards to his own physical description, that would be nullified by Garret, and he alone is completely immune to it. In that way, he's kind of a nemesis to Grey. Yeah, so basically if the two meet in combat, they'll both still have their heightened attribute - Garret also has heightened strength, guess he'd be like gorilla strong. I envision standard heightened meta-strength being between Chimpanzee and Gorilla strength (to illustrate it), of course some could be more elevated like Wraith who hovers around Grizzly Bear strength due to his size.
Well as usual I have gone off on a tangent, back to the plant. Since the agents really aren't sure where precisely Grey is going, it's kind of a cat and mouse game, only one really can't be sure who is the cat and who is the mouse. Grey and Scare are also dealing with two heroes who have been thrown into the mix and the Highwayman is now on the scene.
Maybe FBI and RAID reinforcements might arrive, but who knows. I am thinking that RAID doesn't want to attract undo attention if possible so for the time being the one RAID troop will try and deal with the meta's. After a few of them bite the dust, they'll probably rethink their strategy and decide to call in some extra men, of course it will probably take them about half of an hour to arrive.

| So god bless College of Charleston's computers... I spent about 30 minutes typing up this whole long post that the computer decided to eat. I'll re-post when I get back to Atlanta tomorrow. I'm not doin' that again...
It's a sad thing when my half-comatose 4 year-old computer would have performed better in any situation.
