| Sounds cool... I picked up on the power struggle. I'll come up with a little 'trial by fire' assignment for Grey and send him on his way. It'll be vague to start and then we can fine tune it as we go along. | |

| Ah yes.... after I learned how time consuming Nano could be I backed out. If I had less on my plate it would have been a fun experience. Maybe one day. | |

| Set up this forum alphabetically. Let me know if this works for everyone. This might be a nice way to set up other forums so that things are fixed. | |

| So let me know if the name 'New Dawn' is acceptable. I searching for name that would describe the world as a whole and the imagery of a brand new morning seemed fitting but perhaps there are other suggestions. I originally considered 'Dark Times', I dunno, what is the general consensus? | |

| New Dawn is perfect, in my opinion. It doesn't necessary mena it's a good dawn, only that it's a new one. | |

| Tiph, I am confused. Is Sasha supposed to be solid? I always thought so, but the way you worded your post, I am not sure now. So, should I have Sigma's fist connect or pass through her? | |

| I'm pretty sure "mental projection made flesh" means she's solid. Up until now all your posts have described Sasha as being corporeal so I don't why she wouldn't be. Wraith and Sigma are just under the assumption that she is something of a 'doppleganger' or more appropriately a simulacrum of Morgan's and her father's psyche. | |

| I edited Tim out of Morgan's last post. It did not seem reasonable that Tim would be tracked to the motel so soon, as he stayed to the county and state roads. He also told no one he left and which direction he was headed. | |

| Yes... I am glad you did. We all have to remember that the story is not always reliant on all of our characters interacting all of the time. Sometimes we envision the story happening a certain way and tunnel vision can happen to us all, so from time to time we must rely on others to make us aware of this. This is the way of the Bridge. It is all about the story and the spotlight must shift from character to character, never just dwelling on one.
I am personally hoping that Tim Rutherford returns to Chicago as plots than I and Kasai were headed in a direction that would directly involve that character, but such is the nature of collaborative writing. We cannot force the character to comply nor can we twist the story to suit our needs. As someone here once wisely said, "The story his a living thing" and we have purposely created that way. When we force the story to bend in an uncharacteristic fashion we destroy the believability and the puzzle pieces that we all craft don't fall in place anymore.
In the words of RPM, "Let's keep it real."

| It's what sets collaborative story telling/writing apart from all other forms of writing. While we think someone will have their character react s certain way we find out the writer of the character had other ideas. It's just something we have to flow with and as Tiph pointed out, things don't always happen the way we think they should. It doesn't mean it's a bad thing, it's just the way the story work out. Many posts Tiph has done have not been characters interacting with others but much character development and insight as to some history behind the character. IT's all a part of the grander scheme of the story that makes it so believeable even when we know there are no such things as 'mets' humans. (or is there? ) If we force interaction between characters, the story begins to lose some of it's appeal. Sometimes writers don't want to write conversations. They just want to write. We have to give the writers that chance to break apart from a scene involving others and just let them take a break and...write. Or not write anything at all, such as I have done with some of my characters. hey aren't gone, they are just out of the spot light for now. But that doesn't mean they won't be back. On the contrary, they will return in due time, when the opportunity presents itself. | |

| Well said.
We are 'story writers' not 'posters', to put it simply. What you write in your post should not only develop your characters and add to the plot but also respect and compliment the other characters (if possible), anything else is just egregious.

YOU...are a nut, Kasai!
No wonder you fit right in here with the rest of us. LOL
And thank you. It was nice to stretch my Yelena wings once more. I just had to edit my post to show she did change her appearance. After some thought and plotting it was later agreed to change her appearance just in case.
