| Hopefully I get my monster post done this evening. Toril is headin' to the Windy City, but not before he leaves some bread-crumbs in Troy.
One thing just kept leading to another, and the post kept growing, which is all well and good but because I am soooooo anal and need to have every little detail as accurate as possible I had to do some Chicago research (been there but didn't see a whole heck of a lot).
Basically I am bumping Toril ahead in time, which is why I set a full date in my last post, I think it may be necessary for us to keep track of the days so we realize the amount time separating the characters at this point.
Also, just a question. Does everyone consider it to be 2009 or 2010? When writing present day scenarios I often set the present one year ahead, so that nothing that is currently happening in the real world could have any bearing on the present time of the story. It's just so you can write from current events in retrospect. Just my warped sense of logic.

| It makes no difference to me what year it is. I assumed it was 2010, don't ask me why, I think I saw it in one of the older posts. Whichever everyone decides is fine. | |

| I write time-lines for most of my characters to keep track of their history, that's why I was wondering. It doesn't really matter, but if it's 2010 then basically everything is wide open. | |

| The poster was the quickest thing I think that Toril could do to let the 'resistance fighters' know that he's okay and where to find him. I figure that only those who know Yelena well would pick up on the 'Ludmilla' name. Maybe that might only be Tim?
I am not expecting the scene to move westward, I am just having Toril do what he naturally would. Drive home, and stop by an old friend's place.

| No problem, we may move west, depending on how the others feel New York is getting pretty hot for the heroes. And we do have a moblie command post now. Thoughts? | |

| Well I think Chicago's cool. Just as much potential for adventure's as any other place. I kind like it when story lines move across country, but that's just me.
I was wondering. Which reservation is Morgan from? There a lot of reserves in Wisconsin and I had a little idea to toss in a new adventure line utilizing the Totem Character, but i may need to change his 'nation' in order for it to work out. Just need to know where Morgan is from.

| I see the heroes as being a lot like nomads. They have to move around in order to keep the worst of the heat off them when things get too hot and heavy. Right now, I see New York as being a virutal nuclear reactor core for them right now and they will need to move on to someplace else soon. A large metropolis like Chicago is a good place for them to 'blend' in with the current population. It's much easier to hide in plain site among the masses than seek shelter in less populated areas.
WHile I know it's important to keep things interesting, I would like to see the heroes find some time to relax a little. They've been running around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to stay three steps ahead of Beacon and RAID as well as all those other wonderful acronyms that exist in federal government.
LOL
And 2010 sounds good to me too

| I'm waiting on Dann to post what happens with Tim and crew since Yelena is out cold in the back seat. I would say we have to eventually meet back at the safe house and then let things flow from there. The characters will need to make a huge decision and soon. I would say when Yelena makes the trip into town to get some supplies, I'm thinking with Morgan ( ) she will see the posters and get very curious seeing her name plastered all over knowing there was only one person who knew her by that name, other than of course Tim. I also think it would be wise if we advanced the story just a little in the interest of making sure we don't draw things out TOO long or they will miss their chance at finding Toril. Yelena and Cassius also know Shinigami is still out there looking for them and she knows if Toril is out there alone, no matter how strong he is, he would have a better chance of surviving if he were in their company. Besides the fact she feels some kinship towards the man now. From there, the search will be on and new adventures will await the heores where ever they decide to go. Thoughts? | |

| Morgan is from southern Colorado, Tiph, not Wisconsin. LOL I can't remember the name now of the reservation, I will have to look it up. I visited there a few times when I lived in Colorado Springs. | |

| I have made a boo-boo. In order for Morgan to be from a Sioux tribe, then the reservation will have to be from South Dakota, so I will make the necessary adjustments and corrections. Sorry guys. | |

| I know we still wanted to have a safe house so I was thinking if we move to Chicago, Cassius and Zoe could very well have another base there. OR, they could hook you guys up with some friends. While Zoe and Cassius kind of spearhead their movement, they have lots of connections with other like-minded metas and humans. I have a big collection of characters that can serve as other safehouses and like the Zoe and Cassius of Chicago, or I can could move Zoe and Cassius with the group... or someone else could make someone connected to them in Chicago! Lots of ideas... I was waiting to see an update from Tim and his crew too since Cassius just going to chill with a headache and look after Yelena, but I can advance time a few days by just having Shawn wake up completely. It usually takes people a few days of slipping in and out of a coma before they finally are completely awake. What do you guys think? | |

| All of that sounds really great, Kasai!!! If we decide to move things to Chicago, we'll leave it up to you on rather or not you move Zoe and Cassius withthe group.
I agree 100% with you on the whole coma thing. It's not like Hollywood where they just magically wake up one day and voila! They're back to normal.

| I'm all for moving around, as I would think that meta-humans like our characters would almost have to as they can't seem to stay out of trouble. LOL
Also, I have tweaked Morgan's profile and will go over my posts where the reservation and or Colorado have been mentioned and make the corrections there as well.

| Actually, I was waiting to see if Yelena came around on the drive back to Troy. Again I think it would be wise to move from Troy, I will move Tim and company on to Troy and the safe house now.
Chicago has a large warehouse district that I am sure we could find a building to rehab into lofts so everyoone could have their own little space and we could set up a base much like we had in NYC when this adventure started. Thoughts?

| Zoe and Cassius could very well have another safehouse similar to the cottage they have now, protections and all. They are part of an underground meta protection network and with Zoe and Cassius' in particular disposable income, they have places set up. Whether they go with you or have friends there to meet you is up for grabs ^_^ | |

| So Morgan is Sioux from South Dakota? That's cool. Then that works out really well if we head west. All her family lives out there right? I think that if we are headed to Chicago, then it would be realistic that Zoe & Cassius hook up with another branch of the 'Resistance' located there. I'd like to see the concept of the 'Resistant Fighters' expand. In a comic book style world all the organizations are always named, we have Beacon and RAID, so you would think that many different groups that make up the Resistance would distinguish themselves with their own names. Just an idea. I've established that Bronze Devil used to be one of the big-time heroes in Chicago and Toril ran with his group on and off for about five years (1974 to 1979). I imagine that there would have been about five or six of them. The Devil retired in 1991, but a few of the other would have remained active up to the passing of the Riggs Act in 2004. If we move to Chicago, we have a great opportunity to build up a whole new history. People just have to put their thinking caps on and create some old super heroes that could have ran with the Bronze Devil and maybe now are part of the Resistance working alongside Zoe. (There would obviously be a lot of new super-heroes as well, that just know the Bronze Devil as an old timer) I am going to create a very vague history for the Bronze Devil and people should feel free to incorporate him in what ever kind of past they wish to paint. Well anything that is prior to 1991. He might have done a few things after, but he would try and remain on the down low if he did. Nice thing about Chicago is that it is not such a conurbation like New York. It has some pretty distinct areas. Hey, maybe we could even run into Oprah! She's not that far from the Devil's Grin Comedy Club | |

| ROTFLMAO! Poor Oprah... oh wait a minute, that's any oxymoron, you can't use the word 'poor' along with the name 'Oprah'. Oh, by they way, I modified my last post. I had forgot to write at the bottom of the posters where they were printed. So once someone sees them, they'll immediately know to go to Clones Print Shop. | |

| Thanks, Tiph, I was wondering about that So do you guys want to make some characters to be part of the Resistance and just connect them to Zoe in their history or do you want me to kinda pull from my little Mutant Storage? Or both! | |

| If you have ideas for characters then I suggest you work them up. I would keep their histories fairly generic so that we can build on to them as we go along.
I might just add some random NPC characters as well. If they aren't used it's really no matter, but I think it would be a good idea to just leave some on the back burner.
Maybe some villains as well. It would be cool if eventually we had to deal with some super-villains while trying to avoid RAID. I, however, totally agree with RPMistress, that we should take some time to just let the characters get settled. We can take this time to develop some other characters, villains or situations that the main characters will eventually fall into to.
The only real thing that is pressing right now is Shinnigami, but even though the guy's clairvoyance is powerful, he is not omniscient. Some powerful telepaths that have mastered a variety of disciplines can even block his sight. Right now though, he has lost track of Toril, Yelena and Cassius and it's probably going to take him a while to find them.

| No problem... I'll go digging into my arsenal and see who I bring up ^_^ I'll post them and if I don't use them, that's fine... I also have a healer sitting on the backburner who could possibly show up in Chicago. I believe I left her background fairly generic so she could be easy to kind of plant where needed. | |
