| I agree. And anyone is free to manipulate Shinigami, he's just an NPC. So long as anyone accurately portrays him in a battle with their character they can even kill him if they can truly figure out a way for their character to beat him. In Tim's case with time stopping... the only thing I can see saving Shinigami would be if started his teleportation before or at the same time as the warp. I am actually trying to picture what that would look like.... very cool, indeed. | |

| Glad you like it. I had to do a little research, Japanese mythology is quite different from Norse of which I am most familiar with. Thought it was time to start a new chapter. Chapter 2 was starting to get too large to filter through. Hope that's okay. | |

| Aah... well I am slightly more familiar with Japanese myth and sadly unfamiliar with Norse so if you ever want to swap fun stories, feel free to ask! | |

| I think realistically the shaft would only go up another floor or two, after the elevator. There is usually a trap door at the top of the shafts, but once through it you shouldn't be out of the woods yet. The underground facility is only three stories and so I was imagining that the rest of the elevator shaft was in an above ground building, about four or five stories high. The characters will still have to find their way out of the base and since it's highly secure, there's probably electrified fencing with razor wire and such... all that fun stuff. | |

| You have one advantage and it's a big one. Vacily has his own little hand picked group of marines that work for him and he only recruits others when he can disguise his motives with a mission. There is no alert on the base right now, no other soldiers are looking for you save for the ones closest to the Colonel. Four of them are in the shaft and there would only be another six trying to cover the entire base without arousing too much suspicion.
You'll still have to be on guard against your standard marines of course. Oh and just in case you were unware, Toril dressed Yelena in a military uniform, which is probably a little baggy and there is blood on the front of it from where Cassius shot the soldier who was previously wearing it.

| Kasai... did I get the name's of Shinigami's swords correct? I am not sure if I should have tried to find the Kanji, or if it really matters in the translation. | |

| Yes you did ^.^ and those are awesome names! Normally, the kanji would only matter if you were going from Japanese to English. The other way around, it doesn't really matter. Also, nice touch putting the pronunciations on there... as a further hint though (because everyone has a hard time with this), when in doubt, put the emphasis on the first syllable, not the second like we tend to in English ::stops herself before she rambles on forever about Japanese:: | |

| Sure you want me to write the escape? I'll get him out since I got you into it. Then you can take him over. I have kind of a radical idea... are you up for a surprise? Something that will make Frank even more dangerous... What do you say? ------------------- Thanks Kasai for that little tidbit of information. i used to play a game where half the population were from Japan or spoke the language, so I was always trying to learn as much as I could (so I could eaves drop). Kind of tough to pick up on in central Canada, however. I have a friend who lives in Kyoto who knows the language quite well that I would often ask questions but even still it never really stuck in my head to speak but I can recognize a few words when I see them written. He explained the relationship Katakana, Hiragana and Kanji to me once but it's hard to remember. | |

| Okay, Sin. 'Whew' That was a little longer than I expected. So I figured, 'Like Father, Like Daughter'. His insanity and proximity to his daughter has released his latent mutant ability, which is a telepathic power like Morgan's, only he effects people not animals. He's a 'Pusher'... the term first used in Steven King story, 'Firestarter' and I am playing the power in a similar way. Right now, Frank can perform very simple telepathic commands but in time he may learn to use his power (he believes is a gift from angels) to actually make people do things or even see what is not there, in order to trick their minds like he did unconsciously with the officer at the door. Using the power is painful it causes pin-prick hemorrhages in his brain which may eventually kill him. Once he has pushed a person, the pain goes away but only so long as he is not forcing them to do anything that would cause them bodily harm or go against their nature. Forcing a person to something against their will causes a mental struggle to occur and puts Frank in pain. He has to employ some trickery in order to manipulate minds, but that should be a ways off at this point, he's gotta lot of learning to do. | |

| Yes that was the name of the X-File's episode, it was a two parter. They based the ability on a brain tumor, that was a genetic anomaly shared between siblings. You remember that famous phrase from the first one... 'Cerulean blue is like a summer breeze..." He used suggestion to enhance his ability. This idea was also then stolen for that John Travolta movie, 'Phenomena', but they took it to a higher level, much like the old movie, 'Powder'. Sin and I will work on Frank together. I told her I didn't want to take Frank away, because there is a definite relationship between he and Morgan. Using Frank will just require a lot of communication, since he may unconsciously use his power on another, main character, like Tim. As I said, Frank's power is in the very early stages of development, and because he's insane and despises meta-human's he will never fully embrace it. He rationalizes the ability as a gift from 'angels' in order to accept it. GOOD HEAVEN'S I can ramble on, can't I... Oh, and Lac, don't go thinking that Tim's going to be able to count on old Frank as a supplier. He ain't that kinda Pusher. | |

| Tim, Morgan, Zoe and Sean = Group 1 = Afternoon Toril, Yelena, Cassius, Frank (and Shawn) = Group 2 = Night
(*Technically Frank would fit in with Group 2 because he broke out of jail in the night.)
On the time line I made it night for Group 2, I was thinking this could work to our advantage since for Group 1 I believe it is still afternoon. (correct me if I'm wrong).
With the time lapse it means that Group 1 can probably jump about 5 hours ahead when then want to catch up, so a rescue/pick-up can occur at any time. In Franks case I believe that he would have drive through the night and wouldn't catch up with Morgan until the morning of the next day.
Does that sound accurate?

| Oh Kasai, Yelena, Cassius, Toril and Shawn are here: MCB Oneida (Marine Corps Base Oneida — 25 miles due south of Kibby Lake, located near Oneida Lake.) MCB Oneida is a secluded base not advertised to the American public. The residents of the small community of Nicholsville which is just north of Kiddy Lake are aware of the base but civilians cannot get within two miles of the installation which is a communication dead-zone (for the common cell or satellite phone). The base is run by Colonel Vacily Petrovsky who is secretly one of the controllers of the meta-human terrorist organization called Beacon. It is surrounded by miles of dense forest, the closest populated area being Nicholsville which is 35 miles north.(this was one of the last posts in 'Divided We Fall'.)The Military base has no idea that their Colonel is part of Beacon, they have no idea he's a meta-human. Being a Colonel is like Vacily's secret identity. Only Beacon knows him as Surge. Siege and Divinne are at the Eastern RAID Detention Center, which is located in the north of New York State. (It's written in one of the other topics) | |
