Pickles The Clown.

Real Name: Unknown.

Pickles is an insane and extremely dangerous man, he heads up a large group of thugs and stick up men that both respect and fear him. This clown gone bad enjoys using violence and fear when committing his crimes, he loves to shoot it out with the authorities and has been known to take hostages in the commission of robberies.

Pickles has no respect for life, he has killed innocent bystanders as well as cops and federal agents in the past. Pickles utilizes an endless list of custom designed guns and explosives when committing his crimes. His deadly creations are usually clown and circus related, his bombs and ridiculously over sized weapons are usually brightly colored and at first quite comical looking. But no one ever laughs for too long at this clown.

Pickles will use anything that comes to his twisted mind against his perceived enemies, he has been known to walk up and shoot a man dead or use an elaborate remote controlled device to blow up an entire structure to get to a single target. Pickles and his men are always buying and stealing new weapons and deadly materials for him to use in the creation of his trademark 'toys'.

Pickles wears a stained and worn super baggy clown costume, it has dark blood stains on the front of it and is a dingy black and white striped pattern. His costume has dozens of deep sewn in pockets where he keeps his guns, knives and other nasty surprises. Pickles has red, bloodshot eyes, five o'clock shadow and he has had his teeth sharpened to points.

He has been known to travel in a modified armored car that is made up to look like an ice cream truck. He always travels with a fair number of his goons.

Kristina Valyeev

Kristina is a very powerful meta with complicated and multi-layered mind control powers.

Kristina is a very beautiful and provocative woman, she uses her physical appearance to get what she wants and needs, if that fails she will not hesitate to use her powers.

Kristina is a Russian woman in her late 20s, she dyes her hair a deep punky blood red and wears it long and will almost always be seen in short skirts and heels. She speaks English with a telling accent.

Kristina is wanted internationally by law enforcement and has just only recently come to America to evade Russian secret police and a group of Russian Government scientists that were studying her and her powers.

Kristina is not a talented scrapper, she is all looks and no brawn-HOWEVER, if she chooses to use her mind control powers she becomes a very dangerous foe.

Kristina's powers are a powerful mixture of pheromone like chemical signals and a potent talent for subtle hypnotic suggestion. Kristina uses her looks, her smell, her eyes and most successfully her voice. She will merely flirt with a victim and before he knows it he is under her influence. It takes only seconds to succumb to her subtle attacks, and it is next to impossible to break free of it once affected.

Her influence starts off subtly but as her victims continue to watch her, perhaps looking into her eyes, and listen to her her powers only intensify. She will try to move close to a victim or to have them come close to her as this will only help her powers take hold.

There are a few side effects to her powers most noticably a debilitating nausea followed by sweating and a painful cramping in the abdominal area. The longer a victim is in proximity to Kristina the more control she will wield. While under her influence victims will not eat, not sleep and appear in a depressive stupor-like state.

Victims of Kristina will not be aware that they are under her influence, they will ignore the side effects after the first few seconds. Kristina's suggestions and commands will seem like the victim's own ideas and will be followed to the letter.

Kristina will use a victim for as long as necessary, it is rumored that she has allowed several of her victims to starve to death while under her influence.

Her powers are contingent on her state of health, if Kristina is injured or unconscious her powers will diminish.

Kristina's powers work effortlessly on men, it takes a little more effort to influence women but she is good at what she does. More times than not the beautiful Russian will try to influence a male that is a brawler type, she can then use the poor sap in a bodyguard capacity.

No one (including those Russian scientists) are sure of just how she does what she does but it is most certainly some combination of the manipulation of the senses and the power of suggestion, and Kristina's looks don't hurt either...

Kristina Valyeev has a twin brother named Nika, he was killed by the hero Tim Rutherford, known as Cowboy a year or so ago, the whereabouts of the remains of Nika Valyeev are a mystery. Kristina would very much like to know what became of her dear brother.

Oscuro

Real Name: Vincent Quintana

Oscuro is another powerful meta, he is a mercenary, a weapons dealer, a terrorist and a murderer. He started out doing the terrible things that he does out of good old fashioned greed, now he is rich enough and does it for kicks.

Oscuro is a Latino man in his late 30's, one would not know this by looking at him however because he always wears a black ski mask over his face. In addition to the mask Oscuro always wears heavy black welder-style goggles over his eyes. For the rest of his outfit Oscuro favors urban camouflage fatigues or a black SWAT style tactical outfit. He will always carry a few guns and a few knifes, they will always be state of the art military grade weapons.

Oscuro is an excellent hand to hand combatant, he seems to have had some training in the military or the martial arts. He will not hesitate to go bare knuckles with an enemy.

Oscuro's real hobby is hardware- guns, explosives, missiles, stolen technology and especially robotics. Oscuro loves collecting, selling and buying the latest and greatest new thing that will reek havoc and cause chaos in the streets.

Oscuro has the ability to travel through natural darkness, that is to say he seems to be able to 'teleport' through shadow and shade. He can only 'teleport' through a single field of darkness, he cannot jump from shadow to shadow. Oscuro can also enter said darkness and 'disappear' into and remain hidden in it. If a light source is introduced, Oscuro will simply appear out in the open.

It is a mystery why he wears the mask and goggles, although he does weld a lot in his spare time. This does not explain why he is never seen without his mask and goggles, in fact he always has extras at hand if the set he's wearing get's destroyed.

Oscuro has many henchmen on his payroll and is on good terms with many of the vicious gangs and their super villain leaders here in the Breakaway. Oscuro is such a formidable foe that he often travels alone with a few basic weapons.

His powers to utilize shade and shadow are well known but this villain has other powers that he has not yet revealed.

Samson

Real Name: Unknown

Samson is a very powerful but none too bright meta. Samson is a huge creature, he stands at over ten feet tall and weighs in near 1000lbs. He skin is gray in color, turning to black at his head, arms and legs. Samson wears a pair of giant stretchy black shorts and not much else.

Samson has no hair but has many short black quills on his head, arms and back. His large eyes are solid black, Samson has huge sharp primate like teeth.

Samson skin is tough and oily, he often seems to sweat a black oily fluid. Samson is all muscle and fury, he has the mental facilities of a grade school child.

Samson's hands and back are covered in tough scaly warts that afford him some protection from blades and bullets, however this protection is limited to only these two areas. Regardless Samson is breathtakingly strong and very tough, he may be too dim witted to die.

Samson is easily influenced and has been convinced to do dirty work for Oscuro in the past. Samson tends to live in sewers or wilderness areas if left alone, he will simply stay out of sight and live off the land.

Samson's strength is, of course, off the charts. He can lift many times his weight and pound for pound has no equal for damage that he can inflict.

Samson always refers to himself in the third person and will ask for sweets in payment when performing odd jobs for the criminal underworld.

Duke Trayne was a presbyterian minister who developed the power to emit dangerously high levels of radioactive energy. An ability that killed several of his congregation and his own family. The tragic loss of his loved ones by his own hand drove him insane, and Duke turned delusional, believing that he was a possessed by a Fallen Angel. He blamed the deaths on Astaroth, the demon that he was convinced had corrupted his soul and in time that personality became dominant.

Astaroth is extremely charismatic and has gathered around him a cult of decadent devil worshippers and vampire wannabes who believe that he truly his a fallen angel. According to angelic lore, Astaroth is the Grand Duke of Hell, and so he promises all who sacrifice themselves for his cause will sit at his side when Satan rises to reclaim what is his.

Astaroth can radiate radioactive energy. Even at a range he can project a powerful wave, that will melt enamel paint off of metal, or sear a person's flesh. He can also generate a wave of energy that will explode from his body, powerful enough to wipe out a city block if he puts enough energy into the blast. No one knows for sure, but those who have witnessed his power believe that if he sacrificed himself in the explosion that he may be able to generate a nuclear blast that would decimate an entire city.

The radioactive power, which Duke believes is the power of Satan, has also charged him with heightened physical strength, making him four times stronger than a man of his size.

Astaroth always talks like a preacher and still quotes the bible, in a sinister fashion. He seeks to gather as many members as he can to his dark-flock in honor of his master and believes that once he hits 666 members the apocalypse will begin.

Oh Hell yeah (pun intended) The Duke is approved...
