For Consideration:

Name: Francis Michael Behan.

Occupation: Former Operative for the Irish Volunteers, a group dedicated to forcing England out of 1920's Ireland. Frankie now makes his money running guns and trying to avoid the British security forces.

Physical Description: Frankie is an unassuming looking Irish man in his mid 30's, he is 5 foot 8 inches tall. Frankie has dark brown hair and blue eyes. Frankie always wears a fine tailored suit, overcoat and hat.

Personality: Frankie is an opinionated man, he speaks his mind and can seem snobby. He likes to drink, likes to play cards and likes to make money. Frankie is good under fire, he has nerves of steel and quick hands. He hates the British, especially the government and local authorities, Frankie will go out of his way to cause the British police and armed forces as much misery as possible. Although Frankie talks a tough game, he lives in constant fear that he will be arrested and sent to a British prison (or worse) for his crimes against the crown.

Background: Frankie spent nearly a decade fighting the British on Irish soil as a member of the Irish Volunteers. As a member Frankie executed many dangerous missions involving shoot outs, robberies and bombings. The heat came down on Frankie hard and he was asked by the group to leave and lay low. Out of love for country and kin Frankie did just that. He now moves around the UK making money where he can in shady dealings and enjoying the pub life. Frankie still maintains many of his former connections as a former Volunteer all over Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales.

Skills: Frankie is a "gun guy", he is an ace shot with a pistol and can 'pip the ace' with just about any rifle. Frankie will always be armed, he usually carries two small pistols in his overcoat and one in his boots.. Frankie has some good experience with explosives and will never be too far from a stash of TNT. Frankie is a so-so fighter but real good with his guns, he will prefer to shoot it out over a long, drawn out brawl.

Frankie is also a skilled thief, he can size up a building's weakness and plan an efficient smash and grab. Frankie is good a picking pockets and can pick some locks as well.

Last but not least Frankie has a charm about him, people trust him, he could sell ice to an Eskimo. He has on many occasions convinced British authorities that he was not the Francis Behan that they were looking for.

Frankie has not had a lot of exposure to the occult but he has an open mind and steely nerves, he would confront the otherworldly just as he has the worldly.

NAME: Beatrice Chadwick

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: 26 years old, 5’6”, Brown, hair, Dark Hazle Eyes

BIRTHPLACE: Norbury, England

OCCUPATION: Free Lance Archeologist

SKILLS: Speaks fluent Italian, French, German, Irish Gaelic, Egyptian, Hebrew, some Latin & Aramaic and a tad bit of Russian and Polish.

HANDICAPS: Naïve of the world around her from living a sheltered life but knows there are unexplained things that exist with some of the things she has found on her digs

BACKGROUND STORY: Beatrice was raised by a conservative Catholic family on London’s south side. Educated at St. Augustine's Priory, Bea took a special interest in Archeology. She continued her education at The University of Oxford, School of Archeology where she went on her first dig and found some very interesting artifacts.

After some research, she found them to be linked to ancient occult rituals. It became her pasion to see what other artifacts related tot he occult she could find. With each dig Bea goes on, she is finding different artifacts and with each dig, the danger increases. Not believing the artifacts are what is causing the bad luck, Bea chalks it up to out of date equipment, natural occurances with the soil or some other scientifically explanation.

Name: Madelin Harte

Physical Description: Madelin inherited her mother’s height, or rather her lack of it. She stands at around 5’1, with strawberry blonde hair that she keeps cropped short and tousled to add height. She’s never been a heels girl, preferring her jeans and leather sandals, switching to boots during the long New York winters.

Personality: Short, a woman, and living in NYC, Madelin has learned to radiate strength. She walks with the confident swagger of someone with a gun tucked into their belt. She does her best to take everything in stride. Sometimes she thinks about what she’s missing by not attending university, but imagining what it would be like to pick one job and spend the rest of her life trying to do it well enough to pay off her student loans …it’s enough to drive her to the corner bar over lunch hour.

Occupation: Family Store Manager turned Unofficial Private Investigator

Background: For five years starting the summer she graduated high school, Madelin Harte has worked the counter in Harte’s Hoard, her grandfather’s New York City pawn shop. She has dabbled in online classes and adult education courses, never quite knowing what she wanted to do with her life. One year ago she attended her Uncle Aaron’s funeral. Not only did Aaron die young—he was her father’s youngest brother, only 39 at his death—but he died strangely.

The official reports said he was the victim of an unknown cult, and were very vague on the details. The details didn’t interest Madelin, not at first. Madelin was categorizing his book collection into keepsakes and shop material when she stumbled across the journals. That was when she knew that Aaron’s death was not just a terrible case of wrong place, wrong time.

Skills: Reader: Working in a pawnshop is not a glamorous life. Most of the time people are decent, but she learned from her father to pick up on visual cues and body language.
Self Defense: While no one would ever consider Maddie a skilled fighter, she knows how kick where it hurts and fight dirty if necessary.
Clever: Though she has little formal schooling, Madelin has a quick mind and a curious and stubborn nature.

BACKGROUND STORY: Shankau is an enigmatic man who shows up when least expected to provide a helping hand, either monetarily or in other ways, to aid a person when they seem to need it most. No one knows where he’s from, where he calls home, or how he came to have the vast fortune he apparently has. All they know is that when Shankar shows up, things tend to get a little better.
